Ever wonder why all the really
useful stuff never seems to make it into print? You know, the insights & tricks our supervisors impart to us after we’ve confessed to our latest screw-up? Over the past 17 years working in the NHS, I’ve been given numerous hints & tips by supervisors, colleagues, trainees and clients, most of which aren’t to be found in any textbook. I’ve passed these on to my trainees (and they’ve passed them on to theirs) but maybe it’s time we stopped relying on word of mouth and started sharing our hard-won experience.
